Area 2 Leadership

Peter Hensler serves as the 2020-2021 Central Region Area 2 Venturing President. Peter has been in Scouting ever since he was a Tiger Cub in Pack 640. He joined Venturing at the age of 14. He is from the Water and Woods FSC, and is a member of Crew 43 out of Diamondale, MI. Peter is currently working towards his Summit Award, and has so far earned the Pathfinder Award and Council Venturing Leadership Award. Peter loves participating in high adventure trips. His favorite trips include backpacking on Isle Royal and Pictured Rocks along with a 100 mile canoe trip down Fox and Manistique River. Peter is looking forward to his term as Area 2 President and hopes to give Council VOAs as much support as possible and to provide training for Venturers around Area 2.

Caleb Mulholland serves as the 2020-2021 Central Region Area 2 Venturing Vice President of Administration.

Natalie Norris serves as the 2020-2021 Central Region Area 2 Venturing Vice President of Program. Natalie is from Saint Charles, Michigan. She is currently enrolled in Crew 2602 out of Clare and Crew 7117 out of Bay City, both in the Water and Woods Field Service Council. She has been involved in Venturing since 2016. Natalie graduated high school in 2018, and just earned an Associate in Arts with a major in Elementary Education. She has been heavily involved in 4-H. She continued to raise angora rabbits after her time in 4-H was done. One of her first adventures was attending National Youth Leadership training in 2016. It was one of her first taste of Venturing. Since then she has attended many Venturing trainings including Time Management and Goal Setting, Officer’s Orientation, Mentorship, and more. Natalie attended Wood Badge on course C2-782-18. She had the opportunity to staff National Youth Leadership Training three times. Natalie earned the Council Venturing Leadership Award. She is also climbing towards her Summit Award and her Ranger. She has earned the God and Life Award Religious Emblem for her faith. Natalie has served as crew president, vice president, among other positions. She also sat on her Council’s VOA. She worked at Camp Rotary as a Handicraft Instructor and currently the P.A.T.H. (the first year camper program) Director. Most recently, Natalie served as the Area 2 VOA Vice President of Communications.

Love Wisniewski serves as the 2020-2021 Central Region Area 2 Venturing Vice President of Communications. Love joined Venturing at the age of 14 years old. She currently serves as the president of Crew 2125 and served as president for the President Ford FSC VOA last term. She has previously served as the VP of Administration for the President Ford FSC VOA. She has earned her Discovery Award and is trained and has taught all of the core three Venturing Trainings as well as ILSC. She is also a member of Troop 125 and has achieved the rank of Star. Love goes to an online school and just finished her Junior year. She is a member of the National Honor Society at her school. She has also earned multiple college credits and plans to go to school for nursing. As VP of Communication she hopes to bring interesting and informative newsletters to Venturers. She cannot wait to help the Area stay connected with all its members and councils. Love also wants to attend events in each council in Area 2 and assist the councils and crews. She loves all the adventure and oppertunities that Scouting brings and hopes to do her part to help sustain and grow the program by keeping communication open and the fun going!

Rachel Newill serves as the Central Region Area 2 Venturing Advisor. Rachel is from Great Lakes Field Service Council, and currently lives in Waterford, MI. Rachel has been involved in Venturing for approximately ten years. During this time, she has served as Clinton Valley Council EVOA Vice President, and Secretary. As a youth backpacked Philmont NM, Isle Royale MI, and Chief Pontiac Trail, and canoed 100 miles Fox river to Manistique River in Northern Michigan. Most recently, she has served as a Crew Advisor to MCC World Jamboree, and Crew Advisor of GLFSC National Jamboree. Rachel is currently serving her District as Training Chair, Pon-Man OA Treasure Adviser, Scoutmaster, and Associate Advisor. Rachel has completed VLSC and has completed and staffed Wood Badge. She is a recipient of various awards; Quest award, Venturing Silver Award, awarded District Award of Merit, and Silver Beaver award. Rachel graduated from Carthage College, where she obtained a Bachelor’s in Marketing and Graphic Design. She now works in Advertising, as a Project Manager. In her free time, Rachel enjoys adventures with her dog, biking, and traveling.

Brandon Gaines serves as the Central Region Area 2 Venturing Associate Advisor of Program. Brandon has been involved in scouting since he joined in first grade in Pack 750 in Livonia, MI. Brandon’s school district went through a re-districting and the two local Packs combined forming pack 1640 in Livonia, MI. Brandon received his Arrow of Light and joined Troop 1539 in 2009, Brandon earned his Eagle in 2016. In Brandon’s scouting career has been involved with training events in his district and council helping out with Troop trainings and staffing several NYLT courses as well as being an SPL. Brandon has taken Wood Badge and is a proud beaver. The Order of the Arrow is a big part in Brandon’s scouting has he has served his home lodge of Noquet and Section C2 in various positions, he is a Vigil Honor and has been active in Area 2 Venturing since 2017, Brandon is also currently serving as the Chairman of the National Communications Team for Venturing. Brandon loves going to National scouting events and high adventure bases, he has been to the Summit multiple times as he has been to both Jamborees in 2013 and 2017, VenturingFest in 2018 and World Jamboree in 2019. Brandon has also been to Sea Base in 2014 and NOAC in 2018.

Mary DeMull serves as the Central Region Area 2 Venturing Associate Advisor of Communication.
