The Central Region Kodiak Coordinator is Michael ODonnell. Michael is from the Greater St. Louis Council.
Michael first joined Scouting in 1975 when he became a Cub Scout. He earned his Eagle Scout in 1984 and 8-years later he returned to his home troop as the Scoutmaster. Since then he has served in a variety of Scouting positions including Unit Commissioner, District Eagle Scout Board of Review Member, Assistant District Commissioner, District Commissioner, Tiger Cub Den Leader, Cubmaster and District Public Relations Director. He previously held the position of Central Region Venturing Area 3 Kodiak Coordinator.
In 2012, he and his daughter Emma started Venturing Crew 2648, chartered to the Oakville Middle School PTO, where he currently serves as the Crew Advisor. He served 2-years as the Associate District VOA Advisor and is the immediate past District VOA Advisor for the Gravois Trail District.
In his more than 25-years as a Scouting volunteer he has received the following awards: the Silver Beaver, Region & Area Venturing Leadership Awards, the District Award of Merit, the Council Venturing Servant Leader Award, the Distinguished Commissioner Award, the Community Organization Award, Scoutmasters Key, District Committee Key, Commissioners Key, and Cubmaster Award. In 2013, the National Court of Honor presented ODonnell with the Medal of Merit for his actions in saving the life of a Scout.
Michael is a Vice-President and Municipal Bond Trader for a large investment firm headquartered in St. Louis.
