Central Region Venturing Vice Presidents for 2019-2020

Please welcome the Central Region Venturing Vice Presidents for 2019-2020:
Max Chandler, VP-Administration
Clay Mewes, VP-Program
Andrea Penrose, VP-Communication

Max, Clay and Andrea will be responsible for working closely with
the 2019-2020 Central Region Venturing President Natalie Nichols
in the completion of her goals for the upcoming year.

Their term of office will begin on June 1, 2019.


Max Chandler

Max Chandler will serve as the Central Region Venturing Vice President of Administration for the 2019-2020 term.

Max is a founding member and inaugural president of Crew 339 in Muskingum Valley Council, in Mount Vernon, OH, where he reestablished the Council VOA. He most recently served as the Central Region Area 4 VOA President.

As a business management major at Ashland University, Max continually pursues improvements in efficiency and leadership. He is passionate about consolidating and communicating resources to Council VOAs, as well as connecting Venturers, volunteers, and professionals.





Clay Mewes Clay Mewes is the Central Region Venturing Vice President of Program for 2019-2020 term.

Clay is from Northern Star Council in Minneapolis, MN. Clay previously served as the Area 1 Vice President of Program. Clay is an Eagle Scout and has earned the Silver, Ranger, and QUEST awards, as well as the Council VLA.

Clay is a rising sophomore at St. Cloud State University majoring in Environmental Studies. He looks forward to supporting the promotion of the Venturing program by encouraging ingenuity and innovation in program, with major emphases on communication between the Region VOA and Area VOAs.






Andrea Penrose Andrea Penrose will serve as 2019-2020 Central Region Venturing Vice President of Communications.

Andrea is from Prairielands Council in Mahomet, IL. She previously served as the Vice President of Communications for both Area 3 and Prairielands Council, as well as the Prairielands Council VOA President. She has earned the Council VLA, and is currently finishing her Summit.

Andrea is an incoming senior at Mahomet Seymour High School. She loves getting involved with her school and volunteering in her community. When she's not doing homework, she enjoys watching Parks and Rec and playing soccer. Andrea is looking forward to serving the Central Region and helping to create a better Venturing program.
